Annual tax statement

  • Module/Asset – FD/FA/AG/MT/AT/ED/PR/EL

    • FA

  • Desired Fields – Names, DOB, Tracking/UDF, Timecards, etc.

    • Same as existing report format

  • Parameters/Filters – Date/Visibility/Enrollment Status/Tracking/UDF, etc.

    • Same as existing report parameters except:

      • Add an option to exclude any number of specific charge, credit, and/or payment descriptions. Ideally customer wants it divided into the different description categories, with checkboxes for all active descriptions. The user would then check the boxes for the descriptions they do NOT want included in the report's overall calculations or display on the report itself.

        • The mockup provided does not have to be how this is solved. It could be a single list of descriptions by category, an additional filter box that opens a window, whatever is going to be easiest to accomplish. The important part is allowing users to select what descriptions will not be used for the report.

  • Headers/Footers

    • Same as existing report format

  • Formatting - layout, grouping, drill down, etc.

    • Same as existing report format except:

      • Add a text field where the administrator running the report can add a text message to display on the report below the family information and above the dates that the report references.

  • Most relevant existing report(s)/Data View(s)

    • Charge/Credit Summary (w/ Balance)

  • Reasons the request is being made, including why existing reporting does not currently meet those needs

    • Customer stated that the existing report was problematic for them because families cannot claim certain descriptions for their taxes in Canada. For example, in many situations the families are cut a check for the deposit, or part of the deposit when the family leaves the center. This version of the report is intended to allow the school to remove any such charge, credit, and/or payment descriptions so that the family can have an accurate tax statement.

    • The text field is to allow them to add text to the report so that they can add a disclaimer about it invalidating prior statements issued in the same year.

  • Scope – School, Corp or both

  • Whether a Data View or Crystal Report is preferred
