We need a scheduling tool similar to the 7Shifts App that allows us to place staff in a schedule and publish that schedule weekly (two weeks in advance). In addition the tool should allow staff to request time off for our staffing manager to approve or deny linked directly to a staffing calendar and the scheduling tool. Call-ins and sub placement should also be able to be managed through this tool. We would like to be able to enter staff availability based on afterschool staff college schedules. We would like to be able to run staff cost projections by entering pay rates linked to scheduled hours. We would like to track attendance stats on the percentage of time-off requests, call-ins and shift surrenders vs scheduled shifts to help us with performance reviews and scheduling priorities. Please see the 7Shifts App for restaurant employees as a sample for how this concept could be applied to a multi-site shared staff pool of the every changing afterschool child care staff, paired with the overwhelming daily call-ins and schedule requests. We have approximately 100 employees to schedule each week. Some are permanent staff members at a specific site and some float among sites based on vacant positions, request and call-ins. In addition, we have special scheduling needs on school in-service days and in the summer. This tool being integrated with the employee data module would save us a tremendous amount of time by eliminating manual tracking and double employee data entry required to use multiple staff management tools.
