IKS Integration Enhancement: Permission Granularity

IKS would like the integration to allow customers like CDS and Endeavor to be able to restrict users from creating new families in IKS. IKS registration flows sometimes create new families unintentionally, leading to sync errors.

IKS can configure this behavior with proper permissions if Procare sync logic and moderation engine support child-only updates. They propose:

  • Implement role-based restrictions on family/child creation, tied to whether data is managed via API partner.

  • Create a workflow where new children created in Procare are flagged with a "pending paperwork" status that triggers automated workflow from IKS.

  • Extend moderation engine to treat these scenarios differently or provide override logic for records flagged with known source identifiers.

Product Area Partnerships
Are customers at risk of leaving Procare without this item? No
Are customers going to competitors for this item? No
How does this impact the customer's business?

When clients create families in Procare and children in IKS, or vice versa, the lack of reconciliation logic leads to duplication or failed syncs.
