A customer mistakenly used the maintenance function to purge her ledger data. It's been reported by Enterprise Support that this is something that has been an issue for years because even though there are safeguards around the feature's use, it is still used by mistake every so often, necessitating a db restore.
If there are multiple centers under a single IKN, the restore affects all locations, not just the one who wiped their ledger.
This leads to a lot of headache for our support teams, and for customers who have to re-enter payment information based on TE reports if a db restore is done.
A better way to safeguard against this would be to require a utility code, like DC03, which would force the System Supervisor to reach out to support for guidance and prevent this from happening in the first place unless it's actually necessary.
