I am writing to express my concern about a recent change to the Parent Kiosk feature. Specifically, the new update, which provides parents with two tabs, allows them to view the number of children currently enrolled, as well as identify which children are present at the center and which are not.
While I understand that these changes may be intended to improve the user experience, I am deeply concerned about the impact this has on the privacy of both the children and the center. This functionality seems to expose sensitive information that could compromise privacy and security.
I kindly request that you review this update and consider implementing additional privacy measures to protect the sensitive data of the children and families in our care. It would be helpful if parents were only able to access information that is necessary for their child’s specific enrollment and attendance, without revealing the status of other children.

We want to reassure you that we take privacy and security very seriously. While the updated experience now includes two tabs to help parents navigate more easily, it does not expose any new data that wasn’t already available. The signed-in and out status of children has always been visible through the presence or absence of a status icon on children in the kiosk interface.
At this time, we do not plan to remove or further limit this functionality, as it aligns with existing workflows used by many centers. However, we will continue to monitor customer feedback closely and remain open to future improvements.
For the highest level of security, we recommend centers use the Sign-In Kiosk, which restricts access to only the children associated with the parent’s profile, accessed via a PIN or QR code. This provides the most privacy-conscious option available.
