It would be very useful to be able to track payments based on payment or check#, and to be able to apply portions of a payment toward a certain month or session. This would be more helpful than the comment field, in terms of reporting. I end up keeping my own manual spreadsheet of payments, because we track our income by calendar month. It would be very helpful to be able to generate a monthly payments report- NOT by the date the payment was made, but by the month the payment was applied toward.
