Ability to Delete Document from Student Profile

Currently users cannot delete documents uploaded to a student profile, and there have been many requests from Support that this is a huge pain point, mostly due to accidental uploads being ascribed to the wrong student.

    Beibei Amigos Language Preschool BAM: 87251990 accidentally uploaded a document with sensitive information to the incorrect child's profile.

    11718864 - Garden Academy at Turning Point had a parent accidentally upload sensitive information. Neither the parent nor staff can delete it.

    This was requested by Vine Christian Academy. BAM#55730257. They accidently upload the wrong document to a child's profile and now they are unable to delete it.

    I was discussing this with a client, and they liked the idea of an "archive" section so they can remove Documents that are from previous semesters or years. They wouldn't lose the Document, then, but it wouldn't be cluttering up the Documents they actively needed to see.

    I concur! Many clients sign up for Procare specifically for the Documents feature and are left disappointed that they don't have the ability to delete documents. I've had clients tell me they won't use the documents feature until a delete button becomes available.

    I agree- Every time I demo I have to make schools aware of this and become to concerned to use it because human error is inevitable and they do not want to make a mistake that is not able to be reversed.

    Every time demo the Documents I am sure to tell them to be careful because they cannot delete documents. This and the complexity of this feature are causing a lot of clients to not want to use this at all.

    I agree - I've already received an email from a customer who noticed the delete function was gone, as well as the ability to rename documents. They had documents that were uploaded with the wrong name, and now they have no method to correct them.

    I second this! Already hearing from clients that the Help Center resources are showing inaccurate info now. They are definitely going to want to have the ability to delete. I am advising clients to vote in the Feedback, but think we should get out ahead of it if possible. Thanks!
