The Sign-In Kiosk icon in the app shows a QR Code, but not all schools use the QR Code. The pinpad icon might be clearer since that will always display on that screen. The Parent Kiosk icon in the app shows a pinpad (or maybe it's meant to be tiles of students, but it looks similar to a pinpad icon since there is a middle tile in the last row) when that page displays all the students' profiles to select from. It might be more clear for the Sign-In Kiosk to be a pinpad icon and for the Parent Kiosk to be a different icon indicating how it functions (maybe a little profile icon since it shows student profiles?).
We've created a ticket to address this. A decision was made to keep the QR code given its high usage across the customer base. We will continue to monitor feedback like this to justify a future change to that icon.
We will update the Parent Kiosk icon to better reflect the use case. Attached is the proposed design change.
Agreed, the icons are confusing and no longer meet the use case for each page. The PE Pod will be looking to implement an icon change in the near future and update here accordingly.
