We would like to request an enhancement to the way newsletter delivery status is displayed in Procare. Currently, when a newsletter is enqueued for background sending, the front end immediately shows it as "Sent." However, this is misleading, as the status only reflects that the newsletter was successfully enqueued through SendGrid—not that it was actually delivered. If a newsletter fails to send or encounters a delivery issue, it will still display as "Sent," which creates confusion for users and makes it difficult to track the true outcome of the communication.
To improve accuracy and consistency, we’d like to see newsletter delivery status reporting updated to match what is currently available under Leads communications. That section includes more detailed and meaningful statuses such as delivered, opened, bounced and pending. Extending that level of reporting to newsletters would help users better understand the effectiveness of their communications, troubleshoot issues, and maintain confidence in the tool.
This change would align the newsletter system with existing functionality in other areas of the platform and provide more transparency around delivery outcomes.
