Notification email upon creation of lead from registration

Customer reported that when a new lead is created from a registration form, a notification email is not sent out. The lead status has to be manually changed to a different status, and then changed back to trigger the notification email being sent.

Per Tech Services:

"Waitlisted is the default status for when a reg comes in. The automations are set up so that the actions only occur when the status changes to waitlisted."

It would be ideal to have an option to let registration leads trigger the email notification as the default.
