Summary
Adding a new profile type similar to Parent/Guardian, which only has access to the payment feature.
OR
Have the option for 'permissions' with Parent/Guardian profile type, where certain features can be accessible/blocked by user, similar to Staff Permissions.
Context
Over time, there have been a handful of clients who have highlighted the usefulness of having a profile that is able to pay for a student account but has no access to other features.
Recent e.g. is from Primrose School of South Meridian. There is a parent who wants the option to pay online, but has a 0-contact court order, so they cannot be added directly to the account.
Workarounds (+ Limitations)
Client would be able to create a separate fake 'student' for the Dad, assign a recurring plan to the 'student', and Dad could pay that way.
Staff would have to be attentive when sending out mass messaging/newsletter communications to ensure fake student(s) are not checked before sending.
Fake/Duplicate students could interfere with accurate FTE reporting (schools could have the option of a 'fake room', but in this specific example, Primrose does not have the option to do this).
Benefits
Allow schools to more easily accommodate complex family dynamics and comply with legal orders.
The second option of Parent/Guardian user 'permissions' would benefit users beyond just the Online Payment function and would allow centers to be very specific when it comes to Parent/Guardian user access.
