Parents using the mobile app can currently tap View Transactions. In some cases, transactions appear, but they are not always accurate because all billing and ledger functions are managed exclusively in Desktop. This can lead to confusion or incorrect assumptions about financial data.
Request Details
Remove the View Transactions link from the mobile app menu for all Engagement schools so parents cannot access the mobile transaction view or generate statements from the app.
Impact
When parents access View Transactions today, they can sometimes view partial or unreliable data and can also generate statements. For families with split ledgers, the generated statement may display both parents’ payments. This creates significant issues in situations involving divorced families and court orders preventing one parent from viewing the other parent’s payment information.
Rationale
Removing the View Transactions option will prevent inconsistent or misleading billing information from being shown in the mobile app and will eliminate the risk of exposing payment details that should remain private. This change ensures the app aligns with how billing is intended to function in Desktop and reduces potential support and privacy issues.
