IKS Integration Enhancement: Moderation Engine Bypass or Optimization

There is a need to improve how records, pushed by IKS, are handled by the moderation engine. Particularly for bypassing moderation for existing families, and support for dynamic updating of existing records without duplication.

  • Customers must manually find and approve moderated records in Procare, which is difficult due to moderation logic and missing identifiers.

  • Moderation often results in duplication

IKS proposes the following enhancements:

  • Allow record updates (e.g., new child in existing family) to bypass moderation if flagged appropriately.

  • Offer opt-in bypass at the client level with explicit client approval.

  • If bypassing moderation isn’t feasible, streamline moderation handling for updates vs. new creation.

IKS already tags new records and can support flags to distinguish updates from creations. Currently all records are moderated indiscriminately.

How does this impact the customer's business?

The moderation engine currently intercepts and holds all new family/child records, requiring manual review and approval within Desktop before data appears.

This disrupts automation flows and delays onboarding, especially for enterprise clients who are pushing dozens of records per day.

It is especially painful for updates to existing family records, which are mistakenly treated as duplicates and blocked by moderation.
